About the project

HCC Tomper Weg GmbH has developed and built two modern dementia co-living apartment complexes, each with 12 residents. The result is an alternative form of living where people with dementia can spend their twilight years worry-free and in peace. Some residents have certain conditions, requiring special measures such as pressure ulcer prophylaxis and fall prevention.

Relief for the caregivers

The developer was looking for a solution that automatically detects dangerous events, adheres to care standards, and provides maximum safety for the residents. At the same time, the staff should be relieved in order to reduce the rush in the night shift and allow the care givers to work peacefully. The caregivers should focus entirely on the residents – not on the technology.

Tailor-made AAL solution

- Relief through Artificial Intelligence

Divital implemented a modular AAL system that automatically detects emergencies, documents events, and minimizes daily travel distances for care givers. The best part: the system is subsidized by health insurance!

The system includes:

Automatic detection and prevention using passive, stationary, and wearable sensors

- they detect falls, leaving the bed, motion and presence, hyper-/inactivity and more.

Voice recognition and alarm triggering by voice

- as well as automatic voice connection with the nurses' DECT telephone in the best sound quality, thanks to the voice alarm module

Optimized routes and automated documentation

The direct voice connection reduces empty runs and all events are automatically logged. This allows caregivers to fully focus on the care of the residents.

One device for everything: thanks to the Divital infrastructure, all alerts arrive on one DECT phone, for maximum relief in everyday nursing.
